Hello, Can a person use sawdust and your sealer to fill cracks in logs? Thanks, Denis

What our customers generally use to fill cracks in logs is our Layup & Laminating Resin mixed with sawdust. First the crack is treated with CPES (Clear Penetrating Epoxy Sealer), a day or longer allowed to pass, and then the putty mix of L&L Resin and sawdust smoothed into the crack. The result is a very strong and permanent repair.

Mixing sawdust with the CPES doesn't work, because the mix shrinks as the CPES vents away the carrier solvents and doesn't give you a good crack fill. The L&L Resin is pure resin so this doesn't happen.

Come on back if you have additional questions, or we can be of further help.
