Subject: solvent-resistant roller

Date: Monday, September 10, 2012

Good Morning,

What constitutes a solvent-resistant roller?

In most cases the “cheapies” are nap glued to a cardboard core. I suspect something better is warranted.

Regards,
Neil S

Yes, a phenolic, or resin core roller is required. Typically, sheep’s wool rollers are solvent resistant. Your paint store salesperson should be able to tell you which of their roller covers are solvent resistant.
