An Overview
If you're in a hurry this is not the stuff for you. There are a bunch of quick-glue epoxy products out there that are a lot cheaper; go buy one of them. They're not nearly as good; this is a structural product and the resin is derived from wood, not petroleum. See our other epoxy links for the story on wood-derived epoxy resins.

Easy Instructions
All Wood Glue is very convenient to use. The convenience ratio is the ratio of pot life in minutes to "substantially cured" time in hours. All Wood Glue, with a 2 hour pot life, is substantially cured in 8 hours at 72° F (22° C) and has a convenience ratio of 15.

All Wood Glue embodies the Dual Synergistic Catalyst™, a breakthrough in the control of epoxy resin during curing--down to 28°F (-2°C). All this while maintaining the flexibility and toughness of a wood-derived resin. This is a thick liquid without fillers, thickeners or any other artificial substances. Here is the data:

Tips and Techniques
The mixed resin system retains the exceptional ability to wet any wood surface, but has a reduced tendency to be absorbed into the end grain of the wood, thus minimizing glue-starved joints without sacrificing strength. For applications where flexibility is especially important, use Tropical Hardwood Epoxy Adhesive. When cured, All Wood Glue will have a toughness and hardness comparable to the harder woods with no tendency to bulge out of the joints after finishing operations. NOTE: If you want to use CPES™, please do so AFTER bonding with AWG, OR lightly sand or scuff the CPES-treated surface and wipe down with lacquer thinner before applying All Wood Glue.

All Wood Glue is intended to be mixed 1:1 by volume and is forgiving of minor mix ratio errors. Mix thoroughly and allow to sit 10 to 20 minutes, and then allow to sit on wood joints with exposed end grain of exceptional roughness for at least half the pot life before assembly. Soft rubber pads under clamp faces will maintain an even pressure on the joint as excess glue is squeezed out. Our Epoxy Cleanup Solvent™or lacquer thinner will dissolve and clean up excess All Wood Glue before it has jelled.

Normal coverage is approximately 45 sq. ft. per gallon at 1/32" (4.1 sq. m. per 3.8 l. at 0.8 mm.). This is the minimum recommended amount to get a strong glue joint. Any less, and there is a risk of not having enough glue in the joint, commonly referred to as "starving the joint". When bonding rough surfaces it is often necessary to use twice as much glue or more to avoid starving the joint. In these cases, coverage will be reduced by half or more. When clamping glue joints, be careful not to over-tighten the clamps.

All Wood Glue also makes a fine filler for open joints that need to be closed to the weather.

For additional information, refer to the All Wood Glue Material Safety Data Sheet.

ALWAYS MIX THOROUGHLY!
Improper mixing is the greatest cause of epoxy systems failure.
