Subject: Bonding (CPES and Bora-Care)

Is there a bonding issue with the use of Bora-Care and CPES products. I want to treat the area with Bora-Care and seal it with CPES. I can't seem to find these specifics.

The bottom line is that the pure borate, disodium octaborate tetrahydrate, can be applied to wood if it is dissolved in water, the wood allowed to dry, and the CPES applied. This will not interfere with the penetration of CPES in any way. The pure borate is available as Tim-Bor or Penetreat.
